to find the right job that God has for him and peace of mind for both Jonathan & Bekah as they wait on God's leading.

Pray for Femmy -
to have strength and energy at her work with special needs children (quite draining)!

Pray for Charlie -
to have wisdom in completing Scripture - Music presentations to the youth.

Pray for Matt & Amanda -
to see their MMD Events business grow and expand to reach their dreams.

Recipe - Jonathan's Black Bean Soup

Enjoy it!

In Soup Pot

cook: 8 slices of chopped up turkey bacon

After that is turning crisp add: 1 chopped onion; 3 chopped garlic cloves.

Cook a short time and then add: 1lb browned ground turkey (cooked first); 1 can of diced tomatoes; 4 cans of rinsed black beans; 1 can of chicken broth; 1tbsp of ketchup; 1tbsp Worcestershire sauce; 1tbsp chili powder; salt and pepper; some water to desired consistency; 1-2 limes juiced.

Bring that to a boil and simmer for about 10-15 min;
add chopped cilantro; and simmer for about 10 more min.

Spoon it up and have some kind of bread with it (corn bread is the best)!!!

January Surprise - Case & Sandy visit!

It was fun to have Femmy's brother and wife visit us in January!

We enjoyed visiting Honeymood Island and finding shells.

We then visited The Pier in St. Petersburg.

After that we went to Ft. DeSoto State Park Beach.

Thanks Case & Sandy for spending time with us in sunny Florida!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve at Matt & Amanda's home after attending church. Christmas day was at Charlie & Femmy's for dinner. Jimmy was the grand champion of ping pong, and Liz was the war-lord champ of Risk!

Now In Florida

I decided it was time to update this blog site (after 2 years). Lots has happened, so I will begin by letting you know that we moved to Florida in June 2007 to be close to our son Matt & his wife Amanda. We found a condo with a great view of an inlet from the Gulf of Mexico and with Matt and Amanda's help, we did some remodeling. It was a lot of work, but rewarding.
